Love story between a grumpy bodyguard and Princess of Eldora.
Bridgit von Ascher berg never wanted to be in the rat race behind the throne. Since the moment Rhys got assigned as the bodyguard fir the princess, it was never he had expected this one client could be as hard as the coconut shell.
Bridgit's previous bodyguard exited for personal reasons to Eldorra, before the former guard would exit position, he introduced her to Rhys Larsen, working security contractor at Harper Security firm, an Ex-Navy Seal.
Cause he has guarded various female clients, this could be his cup of tea but this one very difficult to handle, as Bridgit is rebellious, a sheer optimist reading her own life. She neither desires the throne, nor the wish to hold the power.
They got into number of pointless arguments; a year passed by them have developed a balanced attitude towards each other.
Rhys noticed a strange behavior in Bridgit one day. He perfectly confronted Bridgit, revealing out the true reason. Bridgit brother the actual heir to the throne of Eldora has to abdicate for loving a commoner. Leaving only Bridgit to become the future ruler of Eldora, a few weeks have left by, she wanted to enjoy and fulfil every wish she had once, in these few weeks.
Four days for each of the four wishes and they left apart.
Weeks after her return to Eldorra Bridgit burdened down by plethora of would be crown princess duty, she was astounded to found out that Rhys has returned as her permanent bodyguard.
The most important thing she wanted for herself only was no where to be found. There is a need for a spouse to the future ruler. Her royal birthday party became the premises for the groom hunting.
That jealous feeling was so obvious Rhys that he expressed himself to her , and declared to declared to Bridget, that she is his.
There meetings were secret, many hurdles ensued, yet they remain intact through it together.
The story ended very well, HEA.
MY REVIEW:
The story is very awesome, its spicy along with emotional. Ana Huang's books are best, as it states out how little-little thing have an importance in the relationship. The starting is as usual expressed in a non-dramatic way, simple yet beautiful. The progress in between Rhys and Bridgit was soothing, slow.
No kind of stretching, rushing of scene.
