An enemy to lover's romance a divorcee father cum Hollywood's hottest actor and a normal ongoing girl struggling for a job after a heart-shattering breakup didn't seem like a match, but their fate collided a number of times, as she is living in his Neighbour's house, and most importantly Lucy is drooling over him.
The book is the second install of the love-hate series by Ella Maise. The story revolves around Lucy Mayers and Adam Connor. Lucy is the best friend of Olive green, best-selling author and wife to a Hollywood star Jason thorn.
The story started with lucy out of her house dumping all of her ex-lover's remnants from her room, olive by her side consoling her. Lucy was not happy with the way her break-up followed; her ex just called it off saying he needed to move to the city. She moved out of her ex's room. She has no job no apartment, completely penniless. Lucy believes in a curse which she thought is what made her childhood miserable one of the reasons why she actually never believed in love. Still, at some point, she believed that she could have a chance in love, which was completely shattered due to a heartbreaking breakup.
Olive offered her to live in their new apartment. She agreed to the offer for only a period to find out a job and get a rental place to survive. She would live with Jason and Olive from that day on.
They all shifted to the new apartment, the initials were good as well as hectic for lucy, she was not getting any interview calls nor any plans for her future. She is in nine skies cause one of the hottest stars of Hollywood has shifted to their apartment neighbor.
The news was everywhere causing Hollywood most loved couple Adam common, and Ella Connor has a divorce. Adam has got custody of their little son Aiden Connor. For a new start he moved along with his son to a new apartment, he is all doing his morning activities, enjoying his little times with Aiden.
From the other wall, Lucy got the spying trait, and would looker from their back wall to get a glance over Adam, sometimes alone, sometimes playing along with his son. For some days it goes on like that. Seeing even his naked hands of him was like she has attend to the bliss of her life.
On a regular day like that, Lucy was seeing them from her wall, she saw Adam to returned into the house, while his son remained in the water, after some minutes, lucy found that Aiden is drowning inside the pool, without thinking much about the consequences she crossed the boundary and saved Aiden. Aiden is rescued, and she is relieved, but not any longer, the nannies and Adam himself come out, and he accuses lucy as a paparazzi of breaking into the privacy of the former, and in the process drowning his son.
She got jailed. After her release, she was pissed and never dared to look over the wall. Adam had got the confirmation that lucy was saving his son, not drowning him, nor trying to snap a picture of them.
Adam reached the house of Jason and Lucy where he apologizes to Lucy. Lucy accepted the apology. Adam got a problem with hiring a caretaker for Aiden. When Lucy took the charge of being the temporary caretaker, she had already developed a close bonding with Aiden.
Lucy's constant presence changed the atmosphere in Adam's house. The air began to shift between Lucy and Adam. Lucy and Adam were nearing somewhat friendship, though always get interrupted by his ex-wife's presence.
Some days later her alone confrontation with Adam revealed the latter has fallen for her. She didn't believe it and hence she keeps on going away from it. Adam is hell-bent on bringing her close to once again making her believe in love and giving a chance for a second one.
Olive in recent days was not feeling well, she was suspected to be a symptom of a condition she didn't hope for it to be true, but she took the self-test for pregnancy nevertheless, and the result was the is pregnant. She was sure the child was of her ex. Adam listening to the news didn't stop his pursuit to get the confirmation of their relationship from Lucy.
The clinical reports were yet t come, she has already informed her ex about her pregnancy test, and he has arrived in the apartment. The clinical reports came out, and Lucy is not pregnant.
